Meet Manon

Manon Chevallerau has been a pioneer Postpartum Doula in New York City since 1999. During this journey she has worked with thousands of new parents with a main focus on giving them tools to tune into their newborn’s personality, help them recognize their queues and setting routines. With this guidance, her clients are set to start their own journey into parenthood with confidence. With her Dutch touch, born and raised in Amsterdam Netherlands, she helps them to tune into their instincts and have a more conscious approach into parenting.

Besides being a Newborn Care and Sleep expert, Manon gives support in lactation and feeding options, post birth recovery, understanding patterns and setting routines, transitions into work and setting up a comfortable child care plan. With her many years of expertise it enabled her to create her own method of intuitive sleep guidance and setting healthy sleep habits, understanding developmental stages, etc.

Manon was inspired to become a Postpartum doula following the natural births of her own, now grown, children Marlon & Gina. Birthing a home-birth in Amsterdam and at the birthing center in NYC, allowed her to recognize her innate ability to use her maternal and intuitive insights. Together with her cultural background, being a “Dutch Doula” she choose to share this to support and empower parents into their parenthood journey.

From 2003-2009 Manon hosted the pioneer mother and father support groups in Lower Manhattan. A community that was recovering and rebuilding after the 9/11 attack. During these weekly open forums, she guided hundreds of new parents from birth to 9 months by giving them parenting skills and confidence, by answering their questions and concerns.

In 2007 she designed pioneer and unique work/life workshops, customized for forward looking Corporations bringing an integrated approach that embraces various philosophies. These pioneer workshops were designed around flexibility and engagement that gave Corporate employees the ability to build their parenting skills with work life balance tools.

Manon has worked with several start up companies as a parenting, sleep and baby expert.  She has offered her expertise and skills to several non profit organizations. Including the Casa Hogar Orphanage in Mexico by volunteering to teach baby care and setting routine classes to the older children and the newborn care staff.

Manon’s background in design, she studied at the Art Academy in Amsterdam, have led to her unique ability to think outside of the box, to develop creative and innovative solutions in life and practical situations. Her leadership and organizational skills have been finely honed by offering nursery design, organizing and product guidance.

Manon’s personable gentle nature, wisdom and inspirational strength as a single mother paired with her Dutch background have made her an exceptional passionate leader in her field.
